See you next Year!

The Worldflight Group have completed yet another round the world voyage, arriving back in Sydney in the early morning of Sunday November 8th. Thankyou to all of  our supporters who joined us online and those who contributed to our supported charity, Orbis.

During the week of October 31st to November 6th 2010, the WorldFlight USA team will again join teams from around the world on a week long, 24hr a day, virtual flight around the world.

Using real-world flight plans, dealing with real-time weather and flying online on the VATSIM network, our crews will interact with air traffic controllers from around the globe to navigate our Boeing 737-700 safely back to Washington Dulles Airport.

Built over a period of 5 years, The WorldFlight USA cockpit simulates nearly all the systems of the Boeing 737 aircraft and requires our crews to adhere to current, real-world flight management procedures.

WorldFlight is a global undertaking, already in its 9th year. In 2008, the WorldFlight teams jointly raised over $40,000 for charity. The seven WorldFlight teams from across the globe are supported each year, via the internet, by hundreds of virtual air traffic controllers and virtual pilots on the VATSIM network.

You can join us online on November 1st and follow the action here via our live webcams. Our flight crew and sponsors give their time freely, all that we ask is that you make a small donation to ORBIS to help those who can't experience the sights we'll see along our route.
